The return of the Premier League! Where you can watch

It’s just been announced that Premier League football in England will return from the middle of June, with all the games on live TV. Find out which providers have got the games and how you can get the best deal out there…

Big tens! Liverpool especially will be very happy that the Premier League is restarting

The games are free to air right?

Well, some of them are. As part of a negotiated agreement with the broadcasters, the Premier League has announced that all of the 92 remaining games will be broadcast live.

Of the remaining games, they will be split across the existing rights holders, Sky Sports (64), BT Sport (20), Amazon Prime Video (4) and BBC Sport (4).

And yes, this means that the BBC will for the first time in ages have some live games, covering 4 fixtures completely free to air (woohoo!)

What about the games free on Sky?

Well, it gets interesting here. Sky have said that they will show 25 of their 64 games free to customers. We believe this means they’ll be on Sky Sports Mix, a channel available to all Sky TV subscribers (whether you pay extra for Sky Sports or not). They may also show them on Sky One, which would open up the games to Virgin Media, BT and Talk Talk customers too.

And it’s not just the ‘dull’ games that Sky are opening up. The first game they’ll be offering to all subscribers is Everton v Liverpool on the opening weekend of June 19-21st.

Sky will show 25 of their 64 games to all subscribers, even if you don’t have Sky Sports

What games are on first?

Not all of the fixtures and timings have been announced yet, but we know that the first games will be those games in hand, starting with Man City vs Arsenal and Aston Villa vs Sheffield United, both on the 17th June.

So how do I get the best package for me?

Well, that’s pretty much why our site exists. The games are across 3 Pay TV providers as well as free to air on the BBC, so it’s complicated to work out what sort of package you need and how much you should pay, so we’ve done the hard work for you.
It’s completely free to use – if you just enter ‘premier league’ into our programme and channel finder, we’ll find the best deal available in your area. Try it out here
