The Tinder Swindler

This show has good pedigree from the start as it is produced by the same people who brought us don’t f***k with cats.  It follows the story of Simon Lievev who poses as the son of a billionaire diamond dealer to charm women.  They get a taste of a luxury lifestyle with first dates on private jets and 5 start hotels.  It’s a conflicting watch but very compelling.

Inventing Anna

The accent and the glamour strike you first.   However, it’s the story is which will make you binge watch this series.  Based on a true story, it follows Anna a super wealthy ambitious socialite with plans to take the New York art world by storm.  All is not quite what it seems and things start to fall apart leaving friends and financiers broken in the wake.  What I liked about this is that it keeps you guessing if Anna is the real deal all the way through.

Selling Sunset Season 5

If you are watching for the house porn, you have a bit of a wait this season as Season 3 kicks off with more drama than house selling!  If you haven’t seen Seasons 1 to 4, what are you waiting for?  It’s what you should watch on Netflix right now.  Multi-million-pound houses a glimpse into how the other half live both the owners of the houses and the agents who sell them.  Prepare to set aside a day as it’s a bingeable watch.

Pieces of Her

OK so you have now watched true crime and house porn peppered with Reality.  Now on to some full-on thriller content.  Pieces of her follows Andy, daughter of Laura who after an incident in a café starts to uncover her mother’s past.  All is not what it seems and its difficult for Andy to know who to trust and who could be trying to kill her and her Mum.  Toni Collete plays Laura brilliantly.  Toni is known for her award nominated performances in The Sixth Sense and Muriels wedding but is utterly convincing as a woman running from her past.

Bridgerton Seasons 1 and 2

Yes, it is worth the hype so if you haven’t watched this yet, I compel you to drop your embroidery and hop to it!  It’s a period drama reimagined, totally colour blind and with modern music given a Regency twist.  Its set back in a time where ladies were chaste and lives could be ruined by any hint of an illicit unchaperoned meeting.  The Bridgertons and the Featheringtons are two families with daughters of age.  Finding suitable suitors is of critical importance.  It is a heady mix of wealth, power and sex and totally engrossing.
